Polestar- Pure, Progressive Performance. Fully electric – from €40,000.

“No new car should have a combustion engine,” Polestar CEO Thomas Ingenlath stated in an interview with the magazine Edison. Since 2017, Ingenlath has been the CEO of Polestar, an affiliated brand of the car manufacturer Volvo that specializes in building electric cars. The manufacturer’s newest model, the Polestar 2, which just celebrated its premier at the Geneva Motor Show, comes with an optimized electric drive and promises an output of 300 kW, a torque of 660 Nm, and a target range of 500 km. The Scandinavian electric sedan is expected to be rolled out in Europe in spring 2020 and will cost between 40,000 and 60,000 euros. Does this mean the Polestar 2 is real competition for the electric car pioneer Tesla and its Model 3?
